American and Canada are the best in Women’s Hockey

The show is always the clash of the Titans and there is no reason why it should be otherwise because when it comes to Women’s Hockey, the teams from Canada and America are a million times better than the rest of the teams and inevitably the finals are always played between the women’s hockey teams from the two countries. Only exception in recent times was some four years back when Swedish team got the better of the American Team in semi-finals to only eventually lose to their Canadian counterparts.

But that’s no reason why Canada or USA or for that matter any country should refrain from participating because anyway it’s the survival of the fittest and the best country wins and should win. The competition has remained ever so for a long time now and the main reason is that though the other teams have improved, the teams from USA and Canada have improved as well.

But, don’t be trifle disappointed if the goal sheet doesn’t register high or frequent or both results. Apparently, both the teams believe in being astute and abiding by all the rules of the game, to the last syllable and when a team does this, then the goals are likely to be lopsided because fair play and high score seldom go together. But teams aren’t any worse because of it and give each other a tough competition in the deciding match to claim the gold.

Ice hockey has been an important part of the Winter Olympics. Before it was a male dominated era but the women have surely made their mark here.
